Robert Perkins, DDS, received his undergraduate at the University of Guelph in 1981 followed by a Certificate of Honors in Human Physiology at the University of Western Ontario in 1982.
He completed his dental degree in 1987 at the University of Western Ontario and opened his South London dental office shortly after. Dr. Perkins performs services in general dentistry, as well as orthodontics, esthetics and dental implants.
Dr. Zhang completed her undergraduate degree in Medical Science from the University of Alberta. Following her undergrad, she decided to continue her studies at U of A, and was accepted to the Faculty of Dentistry where she completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS).
In 2013, Dr. Zhang completed a portion of her studies through an international exchange at Dresden University of Technology in Germany. Following her exchange, she was the recipient of the John and Lorena Woronuk International Award which is awarded to students with a high academic standing in oral health care and a demonstrated concern for the quality of life of their patients.
Dr. Zhang is passionate about restoring and improving the oral health of her patients. She is committed to continued education, and is constantly looking to perfect her skills and knowledge base to provide her patients with the highest standards of care. When she is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Zhang likes to do yoga, and run. She is also interested in photography and enjoys travelling and trying new foods.
Dr. Pinchin is born and raised in London, he completed his first degree at UWO with a specialization in Medical Sciences and Biology. He then went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at University of Sydney, Australia. Dr Pinchin was awarded the Cusack winner for top clinical student in his cohort.
Upon returning to Canada, Dr Pinchin continued his training by completing the Dental Implant Mini-Residency at the Toronto Institute of Dental Excellence. He continued his dental implant education with a Biohorizons Live Surgery training, and then went on to complete Implant Teeth in a Day, which helps people with most or all teeth missing, replace their dentures for implant supported teeth. Where it is one tooth that needs replacing, or all of them, Dr. Pinchin has you covered.
When he is not working, Dr. Pinchin enjoys travelling the world, kitesurfing, scuba diving, photography, and spending time with his lovely wife (Dr. Trisna) and dog Pancakes.
Dr. John McIntosh graduated from the University of Western Ontario, Faculty of Dentistry in 2002. He then went on to specialize in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery after graduating from The State University of New York at Buffalo.
Dr. McIntosh visits Southwest Dental Care to provide patients with Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. McIntosh also provides general anaesthesia and sedation options for patients experiencing anxiety.
Dr. Natalia Trisna completed her Undergraduate degree in Optometry from the University of New South Wales before deciding to pursue her passion for Dentistry at the University of Sydney, Australia.
She was awarded the Colgate Award for Dental Research, the Australian Dental Research Foundation Award and her research on paediatric dentistry is soon to be published in the Australian Dental Journal.
She was also awarded the Dental Alumni Society Prize for Proficiency in Paediatric Dentistry and the Noel Martin Memorial Prize in Dentistry for consistent academic excellence in clinical aptitude, competence and professionalism.
Dr. Trisna is proficient in all aspects of dentistry but particularly enjoys root canal therapy, cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics and working with the little ones. She is certified to perform oral sedation and nitrous oxide (happy gas) for adults and young children who might feel apprehensive about dental treatment. She also completed a one-year Comprehensive Orthodontics program under Dr. Richard Litt through the Faculty for Orthodontic Research and Continuing Education. She is excited to offer traditional braces for the patients at Southwest Dental Care who are looking to transform their smile.
Once a patient of Southwest Dental Care from a young age, Dr. Chevalier has returned to the practice as a dentist ready to serve the community he grew up in.
Dr. Chevalier is originally from London and completed the Bachelor of Medical Sciences (Hons.) degree from the University of Western Ontario. Afterwards, Dr. Chevalier travelled to Australia where he graduated with the Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Sydney.
Dr. Chevalier has completed research is paediatric dentistry, travelled to Cambodia to provide dental care to children, and has acquired a passion for SCUBA diving and travel.
Dr. Chevalier believes it is important to treat all patients based on their individual desires and needs. He cares deeply about the well-being of his patients and wants to help them achieve a healthy smile.
